Mukanik wasn’t a registered company. It was me and my friend Meshal Alomar Alfudhallah deciding to make things together — no business plan, no rate card, just two people who wanted to make things well.

He picked up a camera. I lived in After Effects and Illustrator, building motion graphics, typography, and 3D video in Cinema 4D. Somewhere in there we ended up running a hotel’s Instagram account, which taught me more about content rhythm than any course could have.

Clients found us anyway — from a national petroleum company to a neighborhood butchery to a government youth council. We priced it like hobbyists and delivered like professionals, which in hindsight is a lesson of its own.

Selected clients

Corporate / Industrial

  • PIC — two short-form videos, made back when Instagram capped video at 15 seconds. Our biggest name, landed with no portfolio to speak of.

Government / Public

  • مجلس الشباب الكويتي (Kuwait Youth Council)

Nonprofit

  • Direct Aid — done for charity, no fee.

Hospitality

  • Sara Plaza Hotel — including full Instagram account management.

Retail / Lifestyle

  • The Butchery
  • Tuning
  • Just 4 Kids

Ventures that have since closed — included because the work still stands on its own:

  • Spring Car Wash
  • Kobon
  • Zahhab

Where it went

That instinct hasn’t gone anywhere — it just moved. These days it shows up in graphic design work, and more recently, leathercrafting: same eye, different material, hands instead of a render queue.
